12 Jun Congratulations to Ms Abigail Chang Winner of our Design Competition!
Jointly organized by d’Doubles and Sitia, Italy.
On 23th May, an award ceremony was held at our showroom to announce the winner of the Design Competition.
The Design Competition was launched during the Singapore Design Week 2019, was supported by the Italian Embassy, the Italian Chamber of Commence and the DesignSingapore Council. The competition attracted over 30 product design submissions, by young design professionals and students.
“UNA” by Ms Abigail Chang emerged as the winner, selected by Sitia and our two prestige judges : Mr Ong Sze Boon – Executive Director of the design group Ong & Ong and Mr Mike Lim, Director of DP Architects Group.
Una is a dynamic space divider fashioned with large acoustic panels for aural comfort. Designed around the concept of openness and collaboration, this versatile divider can be transformed into a meeting table for a variety of uses, all without compromising acoustic comfort.
As the winner, Ms Abigail will have chance to experience furniture making Sitia’s factory in Italy. She will work with the artisans to develop and prototype her product. The prototype will also have a chance to be presented at Salone del Mobile 2020, and be included into Sitia’s catalogue and global distribution network.

A Human Desk by Nithipong Subaneknan
A Human-centered design product that encourages collaboration. The desk is embedded with a 55″ smart touch screen device for more effective collaboration.
Ramo Tavolo by Ng Ka Wai
Inspired by the branches on the Italian Alps tress, Ramo Tavolo is a table which celebrates functionality and purity in form. The table top creates different levels of “canopy” for side table and work table use. Small and agile, Ramo Tavolo can be moved around easily.
Stitch by Lai Si Yuan
“Stitch” is a minimalist’s table that does not required any alternative elements such as metal ware, accessories or screws. Through it’s slot assembly system, it can be easily packaged for shipping.
Three Point to You&You&You by Huang Hui Min
Using the triangular shape to promote spontaneous collaboration .
